About SGPGIMS

Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) is an autonomous tertiary medical institute established by the Government of India in 1983. Located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, it serves as a referral hospital for the entire state and neighboring regions.

The institute is named after Sanjay Gandhi, son of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. SGPGIMS has been at the forefront of medical education, research, and patient care in North India, with a focus on super-specialty services.
